Checkatrade set up an internal innovation lab to build new business verticals beyond its directory model. I was brought in to build the B2B marketplace from scratch and to help the business make a fundamental shift from lead generation to a transactional, commission-based model.
Picnic Digital Transformation
Picnic - Europe's fastest-growing online supermarket - needed to migrate its core logistics and fulfilment infrastructure to AWS without taking down the warehouse robotics that process millions of grocery orders in real time. Zero downtime was a hard requirement.
Drax Electric Vehicle Portal
Drax was building a centralised EV fleet management portal - consolidating real-time data from multiple third-party charging and telematics providers into a single platform. I was brought in as the architectural proxy, driving backend design and delivery while a new target architecture was being defined in parallel.
Laundrapp
Laundrapp had two separate native apps, iOS and Android, that needed rebuilding as one. I defined the foundational mobile architecture and helped deliver a unified cross-platform app on both stores in 12 weeks.
